I finally put my ginger plant in soil. It was getting so top heavy that as it leaned, some of the roots would come out of the water. It also had thrips, which I believe I have gotten rid of. You can see some of the damage they caused on the leaves (brown spots). You can’t see it from the picture, but there is another stalk about to come up next to the large one. It’s about a 1/4 inch high so far, and about that far from the surface. It’s pushed some soil up to reveal itself. Maybe by next week it’ll show itself completely. I just hope that as big as this plant can get, the pot it’s in now is big enough. I’d to have to transplant it again.

Wish me luck!
